On 29th January 24 Phase 3 of the UK’s Governments DESNZ for the Industrial Energy Transformation Fund opens for applications, with up to £500 million to invest by 2028. This funding will be allocated through 3 consecutive application windows. This first application window is open until 20th April 24 providing grants for feasibility and engineering studies, Deep Decarbonisation projects, and Energy Efficiency projects, from 30% to 70%, dependent on company size and plant location.

The competition is open for feasibility studies grants above £30,000 and minimum project awards from £100,000 for Energy Efficiency or Deep Decarbonisation Projects. The scope of projects is eligible for industrial processes switching fuels to industrial heat pumps and with waste heat to recover.
