GENERATING ELECTRICITY FROM WASTE HEAT
GENERATING ELECTRICITY FROM WASTE HEAT
This Table shows the approximate range of maximum inputs and outputs, the Heatcatcher Generator is a variable load machine generating lower electrical outputs when waste heat inputs reduce.
The Heatcatcher Generator is based on Organic Rankine Cycle technology – a rapidly developing technology aimed at recovering low temperature heat from a process where fossil fuels have been combusted or from a carbon neutral heat source such as a biomass boiler or a biofuel generator. At no cost to you, the Heatcatcher generator can capture the heat that has been exhausted in your process and re-use it to generate electricity which we then sell back to you at a cheaper rate than you’re current electricity supplier. We build, install, maintain and operate a Heatcatcher system on your site, providing you with cheaper low carbon electricity from the heat you’re currently wasting.
The outputs shown in the table figures are based upon waste heat input powers at temperatures between 125OC to 400OC and operating 8,520 hours per year.
